Somnium Sanguis Caelestis is the side project of Hypsiphrone [Malignant Records] and is creepy, unsettling dark ambience at it's finest. Spectacular brooding, ancient atmospheres. The term "black ambient" would certainly fit here. Not quite as abyssmal as the pitch black Hypsiphrone, but its more mellow (though still rather evil) cousin. Their debut "Veneo Astrum Draconis" is available as a free digital release from Kalpamantra so don't miss it! It comes with a bunch of high quality artwork as well, so be sure to check that out.
